This was one of the offers this past summer in Austria. Their take was that as many people under 35 have tattoos, then it would be good to get them to advertise on their body!!
Free climate ticket against tattoo – with this action Climate Protection Minister Leonore Gewessler (Greens) caused a stir in the summer.
Anyone who had one of 33 climate ticket logos “inked” at the Frequency Festival was given a free annual public transport ticket worth 1,095 euros. Gewessler had to put up with a lot of criticism and incomprehension for this. The opposition also wanted to know how much the campaign had actually cost… which has now been answered.!
We now know: 18.882,30 euro pasid to the tattoo artist and 4.117,00 euro to the advertising agency. Who is responsible for it in the ministry was not answered.! 42 adults have been tattooed according to the query response. If you include the 45,990 euros that 42 climate tickets cost, everything together has cost a total of 68,989.30 euros.
No doubt there will be more to this story in the future, whether it was a waste of public money!!
