From London to Vienna

Train to Austria: It’s easy to travel from London to Vienna by train….just a few hours ride on Eurostar from London to Paris. There is a good  service changing in Brussels and Cologne, using the excellent CityNightLine hotel train between Cologne and Vienna.  Or an evening departure from London, the overnight sleeper Paris-Munich then a daytime train to Vienna.

From London to Salzburg

Train to Austria: Travel from London to Paris by Eurostar to the Gare du Nord, from where it is a 10 minute walk to the Gare de l’Est where you can get the train to Munich.

Travel from Paris to Munich overnight, arriving in Munich the next morning.  This train is one of the German Railway’s excellent ‘NachtZug’ expresses.  It has brand-new sleeping-cars
(1, 2 and 3-berth deluxe rooms with private shower and toilet, 1, 2 and 3-berth standard rooms with washbasin, there’s a shower at the end of the corridor for passengers in
standard rooms), and modern air-conditioned couchettes (choose between a berth in a
4- or 6-berth compartment).   Inclusive fares are charged covering travel plus sleeping accommodation.  The sleeper fare includes a light breakfast.

Travel from Munich to Salzburg by air-conditioned ‘EuroCity’ train (the ‘Bartok Bela’, with restaurant car)

From London to Innsbruck and Kitzbuhl

Travel from London to Paris by Eurostar. It arrives at the Gare du Nord, from where it is a 10 minute walk to the Gare de l’Est.
